Having arrived in Friuli from France over a hundred years ago, this grape variety—derived from a bud mutation of Pinot Noir—has found its ideal habitat in our lands. Its grapes offer emotions that are recognized and appreciated worldwide. Today, Pinot Grigio is the most widely cultivated variety in Friuli, so much so that it has rightfully earned the “Prince of Friuli.”

Tasting notes
Our Pinot Grigio immediately presents itself in the glass with straw-yellow hues enhanced by coppery reflections that recall the color of its uniquely distinctive grapes. Its movement in the glass suggests a wine of importance, with good body. Bringing the glass to the nose, one is enveloped by sensations of apple, ripe melon, face powder, and toasted bread, accompanied by a freshness that makes it inviting to taste. On the palate, it is savory and compact: it never falters, maintaining structure throughout. The aromatic notes that echo on the palate deliver fresh, highly հաճ pleasing sensations and further highlight—if needed—the great “fabric” (character and quality) of this wine from our land.
Pairings
This is a wine that can accompany a wide range of convivial occasions. Pinot Grigio takes center stage at the table with dishes based on gratinated shellfish, fish soups, and rich (“fatty”) baked or stewed fish.
