Tasting notes
It is the most international of wines thanks to its pleasantness and wide range of pairings. Due to its freshness, it pairs perfectly with fish-based appetizers, soups, risottos, pasta dishes, and vegetable-based main courses—especially if they include fish—even when accompanied by cream sauces. It should absolutely not be paired with foods containing tomato-based sauces, as the acidity of the tomato contrasts too strongly with the buttery character of Chardonnay.
