A white wine of the Friulian people by tradition: it is the authentic expression of this land and its people, perhaps sparing in embellishments and words, but generous and full of substance. Thus, for over one hundred and fifty years, this grape variety has become part of the DNA of all the people of Friuli, who raise it as the emblem of their white wines. A glass of it can never be missing from the counters of traditional taverns, to accompany local dishes or simply to be sipped during a conversation.
Notes of acacia flowers, ripe melon, Golden apple, carob
Tasting notes
Our Friulano appears in the glass with a warm straw-yellow color; on the nose it offers sweet notes of acacia flowers, ripe melon, Golden apple, and carob, all blended into a single harmonious note. On the palate it is soft and fresh without sharp edges, round and with excellent persistence, where notes of apple and carob merge with spicy hints of thyme and fresh sage, leaving us in the finish with its typical almond aftertaste.
Pairings
The perfect pairing for our Friulano is certainly with San Daniele ham, but we should not overlook its excellent matches with dishes based on legumes, terrines of white meats, and fish. It is also suitable as an aperitif and as a wine for casual enjoyment.
